These Freeze Dried Cinnamon Apple Slices are absolutely fantastic! Truly! Fantastic! They do have added sugar (less than 1%) and cinnamon (no wonder they are fantastic! haha). Apples are the most basic and most versatile and recognizable fruit on the planet.
They are wonderful straight from the can. Dip them in peanut butter or caramel sauce or pair with a slice of cheese. Any way you slice it (haha), they are just amazing. Add them to your granola or trail mix, or top them on oatmeal, cereal or yogurt. Toss them in your overnight oats.
You can also re-hydrate and use in any recipe as you would fresh apples. Or turn them into applesauce.
They are treated with ascorbic acid and citric acid to prevent them from browning during the freeze drying process.
