These Organic Potato Flakes are just simply delicious!   They are filling, satisfying, comforting and pair well with any meat and/or veggie for a hearty meal.  Plus, they are fast to the table since they make up so quickly.  Check out the "How to Use It" tab for more ideas.   

They aren't considered a "comfort food" for nothing. :)

Directions: Bring 3/4 cup water and 1 Tbsp. butter to a boil in pan. Add 1/4 tsp. salt if desired. Remove from heat and add 1/3 cup cold milk. Stir in 3/4 cup potato flakes. Let sit 2-3 minutes to thicken. Makes 2 servings.

Suggestions: There are so many great things to do with potato flakes besides making them into mashed potatoes.  They make a wonderful thickener and/or creamer (instead of using flour or cream) in soups, stews and gravies. They can be added to baked breads and scones for a soft texture and added nutrition or use them for a crispy breading on chicken or fish.

Make a batch of mashed potatoes for Shepherd's Pie, Potato Dumplings or Potato Pancakes.

Potatoes round out our meal and satisfy those hungry bellies and are an excellent addition to our food storage!

Oxygen Absorber Packet: An oxygen absorber packet is added to each pouch to keep food fresh and is not edible. DISCARD immediately after opening.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place (room temperature or below without freezing). Once opened, freeze dried foods absorb moisture from the air and will soften in texture. Freeze dried foods can last up to a year after opening depending on the humidity in your area.

Reseal immediately after opening for best results.
