Puff Dried Carrot Dices
Puff drying is a proprietary process that takes a partially dehydrated carrot and then applies a steam and heat process that causes the water inside to "pop" or "puff" it. They are beautiful in both flavor and color and only take 5-6 minutes to re-hydrate.
Directions: To rehydrate, add 1 cup Puff Dried Carrots to 4 cups warm water. Let sit 5-10 minutes or until tender. Drain excess water.
Once they are hydrated they are like cooked diced carrots. Not only are they easily added to any soup but they can also be a stand alone side dish or used in a medley with the peas and corn. So many options! They can quickly be pureed for baby food, or added to any baked good. Disguise them as added nutrition in foods like marinara sauce or muffins.
Puff Dried Carrots carry a punch of Vitamin A and Beta Carotene and add another layer of color and nutrition in our diets. :)
Oxygen Absorber Packet: An oxygen absorber packet is added to each pouch to keep food fresh and is not edible. DISCARD immediately after opening.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place (room temperature or below without freezing). Once opened, freeze dried foods absorb moisture from the air and will soften in texture. Freeze dried foods can last up to a year after opening depending on the humidity in your area.
Reseal immediately after opening for best results.
